zkPass, a protocol designed to preserve privacy during data verification, has secured $12.5 million in a Series A funding round. The round included investments from dao5, Animoca Brands, Flow Traders, Amber Group, IOBC Capital, Signum Capital, MH Ventures, and WAGMI Ventures. Co-founder and CTO Bing Jiang noted that there was no lead investor, allowing all participants to contribute more significantly than if a single lead investor had dominated.

The fundraising for this round began at the end of last year and concluded in May. The funds were raised through a simple agreement for future tokens (SAFT), giving zkPass a fully diluted token valuation of $100 million. The zkPass token is anticipated to launch in the first quarter of next year.
This Series A round increases zkPass’ total funding to $15 million, following a $2.5 million seed round in August 2023, which included investments from Binance Labs, Sequoia China, OKX Ventures, and others.
