OKX Ventures, the investment division of the prominent crypto exchange and Web3 technology firm OKX, has announced its investment in zkLink today. zkLink Labs is focused on the development of zero-knowledge (ZK) infrastructure solutions for the blockchain ecosystem, with an aim to scale and consolidate assets across Ethereum and Ethereum Layer 2 Rollups (L2s).

The primary Aggregated Layer 3 zkEVM network (L3) of zkLink, known as zkLink Nova, is designed to minimize liquidity fragmentation, which refers to capital trapped across various isolated blockchains. It achieves this while ensuring security and scalability through zk-Proofs. Nova provides an open platform for users to access aggregated assets for efficient transactions on a single L3.
zkLink Nova launched its mainnet in the middle of March, securing a total value locked (TVL) of $1.05 billion in less than two months. Furthermore, the L3 has attracted over 1 million unique wallet addresses and processed over 17 million transactions across nine integrated ecosystems, including Ethereum and its ZK and Optimistic Rollups. These ecosystems include Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, zkSync, Linea, Scroll, Manta Pacific, and Mantle.
The potential of zkLink to offer a unified platform for decentralized applications (dApps) and users, along with its dedication to security, establishes it as a transformative player in the DeFi sector. This makes the Layer 3 rollup network a compelling investment for OKX Ventures, which made an investment in zkLink in December 2023.
