SatoshiPay has raised €850,000 to support the development and expansion of Vortex, its blockchain-based payment platform built on the Pendulum network. The funding round includes a grant from the Web3 Foundation and contributions from industry figures such as CoinShares Chairman Danny Masters, SatoshiPay Co-founder Meinhard Benn, CEO Alexander Wilke, and Blue Star Capital, a publicly listed investment company on the London Stock Exchange. The funding will be used to extend Vortex’s market reach, increase blockchain integrations, and prepare for a Series A round by late 2025.

Vortex is designed to facilitate stablecoin conversions into local fiat currencies using decentralized foreign exchange (FX) infrastructure. Operating on the Pendulum blockchain, the platform supports transactions across networks such as Base, Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Binance, and Polkadot. With this funding, SatoshiPay aims to expand operations in Europe, Argentina, and Brazil while strengthening integrations with digital wallets, payment providers, and fiat on-ramp services.

The company plans to position Vortex as a payment infrastructure provider for digital wallets and global payment platforms. The platform offers automated FX swaps and liquidity provisioning, with a focus on reducing the cost of stablecoin-to-fiat transactions. By integrating with blockchain-based and traditional financial systems, Vortex seeks to improve access to local currency exchanges. The funding will be used to build initial market traction ahead of the next phase of growth.
