Torch Finance has secured $1.5 million in a pre-seed funding round to expand stablecoin liquidity and blockchain-based payment infrastructure on The Open Network (TON). The round was led by TVM Ventures, with additional backing from Michael Egorov, founder of Curve Finance, and other investors.
The company operates TON’s first institutional-grade Stable Swap, a liquidity pool designed for stablecoins. The new capital will support several initiatives, including the expansion of stablecoin liquidity for institutional and Telegram-native use cases, the launch of a stablecoin backed by TON, tgBTC, and Torch Stable LPs, and deeper integration with Curve Finance’s liquidity ecosystem. Torch Finance is also advancing Torch Pay, a payment protocol aimed at facilitating blockchain transactions for real-world applications.
