Tapi, a Payments Processor Platform based in Argentina, has secured $22 million in a Series A funding round spearheaded by Kaszek, according to Tomas Mindlin, the co-founder and CEO of the company. This funding will support the company's expansion efforts in Mexico.

Tapi, a fintech firm, handles payment processing for major Latin American consumer platforms, including Mercado Pago and the cryptocurrency exchange Lemon. The company forecasts that it will process approximately $400 million in payments across the five countries where it operates this year, quadrupling the volume it managed last year.
In 2022, Tapi garnered $9 million in a seed funding round. CEO Tomas Mindlin anticipates Mexico becoming the company's most rapidly expanding market over the next two years.
Mindlin expressed the company's commitment to collaborate with the fastest-growing FinTechs, continue promoting financial inclusion, and facilitate the transition from cash to digital payments. Therefore, Mexico holds significant importance for them. He projected that within a year, their infrastructure would be serving 80% of Mexico's banked population.
