Skyfire, a an open-source payment system, has just announced an $8.5 million seed funding round, supported by major players in the crypto space including Circle (the issuer of USDC), Ripple, Gemini, and the venture capital firm of well-known Silicon Valley billionaire and Bitcoin advocate Tim Draper. Skyfire currently operates on Polygon, the Ethereum scaling network, but plans to expand to other blockchains in the future.
