Sablier Labs has successfully closed a $4.5 million seed funding round led by A Capital. Additional participation came from Fenbushi Capital, WAGMI Ventures, GD1 Web3, Cyfrin, DCV, Founderheads, and several angel investors, including Daniel Bar, Ben Middleton, Evan Van Ness, David Iach, and others. The funding also included support from the a16z Crypto Startup Accelerator as part of the CSX Spring 2024 cohort in London.

This significant funding round marks a major leap from Sablier’s pre-seed round in 2022, when the company raised $500,000 from Starbloom Capital, Safe Ecosystem Foundation, F.actor, Doug Leonard, and Charles Songhurst. Sablier has been a leading on-chain token distribution and money-streaming solution for five years, creating over 65,000 streams and handling $50 million in stablecoin volume with a median total value locked (TVL) of $161 million over the past three years. The protocol is used by organizations such as Shapeshift, NounsDAO, VitaDAO, and Maple Finance for various use cases, including vesting, payroll, airdrops, and grants.
The investment will enable Sablier Labs to hire top talent globally, improve and expand their current product offerings, and develop a next-generation payment platform, codenamed "Sablier V3," which is currently in stealth mode. Sablier aims to provide an open-ended streaming product to enhance user experiences in use cases involving recurring payments such as payroll. The focus on developing the "Sablier V3" platform indicates a commitment to advancing the capabilities of their current solutions, aiming for greater efficiency, user experience, and broader application across different sectors.
