The funding round, referred to as a "Builders Round," was jointly led by Antler and Momentum6. Wagmi Ventures, Hypotenuse ventures, and several angel investors also participated in the round.

RiskLayer plans to create two Actively Validated Services (AVS) on EigenLayer to tackle economic security issues in DeFi. The first service, known as Risk Oracle AVS, intends to supply DeFi risk data through a "proof of risk" consensus. The second service, Risk Rollup AVS, is aimed at economically securing application-specific rollups developed on RiskLayer.

Chainrisk Labs, the team behind RiskLayer, has reportedly managed over $10 billion in assets to date. The company has offered economic risk management solutions for various protocols such as Compound, Angle Labs, Gyroscope, and Ebisu Finance, as well as for ecosystems like Arbitrum and Fuel Network.

About RiskLayer

RiskLayer is an autonomous risk oracle platform that democratizes app-specific risk feeds for Ethereum and Bitcoin. It provides economic security feeds for DeFi applications, enabling the creation of structured financial products with integrated risk management strategies.

The platform is powered by $15B of restaked ETH on EigenLayer, ensuring robust and rational user behavior without governance overheads. By leveraging a shared security pool and optimized returns, RiskLayer scales economic security across DeFi, institutions, and retail markets
