Rho Labs has secured $4 million in seed funding to further develop Rho Protocol, its cryptonative rates exchange. The round was led by CoinFund, a cryptonative investment firm, with additional participation from Auros, Flow Traders, and Speedinvest. This funding will help Rho Labs expand its platform, which offers interest rate trading for cryptonative products such as staking, lending, and perpetual futures.
Since its launch, Rho Protocol has processed over $7 billion in notional volume. The platform offers a single venue for users to trade staking and lending rates alongside perpetual funding rates, aiming to serve both individual and institutional investors. With the backing of CoinFund and other key players in the market, Rho Labs is positioned to enhance access to these products and support growth in decentralized finance (DeFi).
Rho Labs intends to address gaps in the DeFi market by providing a more efficient method for trading interest rates, a critical component for managing risk. The company plans to continue expanding its offerings, increasing adoption, and creating solutions for institutional investors in the growing DeFi sector.
