Rena Labs Secures $3.3 Million in Pre-Seed Funding to Develop Verifiable AI

January 9, 2025

Rena Labs

Rena Labs, a company focused on verifiable artificial intelligence, has raised $3.3 million in pre-seed funding. Paper Ventures led the funding round, with additional investments from Lightspeed Faction, Eterna Capital, Lyrik Ventures, Mapleblock Capital, Selini Capital, and Keyrock. This funding marks Rena Labs’ total capital raised to date, which will be directed toward expanding the company’s team and enhancing its technological capabilities.

The funds will support the development of Rena Labs' core technology, the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), which is designed to provide on-chain infrastructure for verifiable AI use cases. TEE aims to ensure AI systems are transparent and secure by default. The company plans to focus on further developing this middleware technology to support decentralized and verifiable AI systems in various digital environments.

Rena Labs is working to address the need for trust and accountability in the rapidly expanding AI industry. The company’s approach to AI relies on the TEE infrastructure to guarantee that AI systems operate securely while maintaining user autonomy. This initiative is part of the broader trend of integrating AI with blockchain technology to improve transparency and verifiability in AI applications.
