Bitcoin investment platform Relai has raised $12 million in a Series A funding round, bringing its post-money valuation to $72 million. The round was led by Ego Death Capital, a venture firm focused on Bitcoin-only investments. This funding adds to the company’s growing capital base, which now totals approximately $20 million.
Relai, launched in 2020, has facilitated $650 million in Bitcoin transactions, including $450 million in 2024. The app has 450,000 downloads and 140,000 active users, with expectations to reach 1 million downloads by 2025. The company plans to expand further within the growing Bitcoin market.
Relai operates a business segment serving small and medium-sized enterprises and high-net-worth individuals, which has generated $30 million in trading volume since its launch. The platform generates revenue through transaction fees, with growth expected to continue, especially with plans to secure a MiCA license in 2025 for expansion across the EU. Additionally, Relai aims to double its workforce next year to support its ongoing expansion.
