Radius has raised $7 million in a seed funding round led by Pantera Capital, with participation from Hashed, Superscrypt, and Lambda Class. The funds will support Radius's efforts to address the financial challenges faced by Ethereum rollups, which struggle to scale due to high Layer 1 transaction costs.
The company’s flagship product, Lighthouse, leverages Maximum Extractable Value (MEV) to create a sustainable revenue stream for rollups. This solution is designed to operate independently of user fees, which currently provide limited resources for rollup expansion. In addition, Radius's Secure Block Building (SBB) aims to help rollups capture MEV revenues while maintaining user protection against censorship and manipulation.
Radius has partnered with more than 35 organizations, including rollups such as Swell Network, Fuse Network, Ternoa, LiftDataAI, and Vessel Finance. These collaborations are part of its broader plan to expand its reach across the rollup ecosystem and contribute to the financial sustainability of Ethereum-based solutions. With the launch of Lighthouse on the horizon, the company is focused on advancing the next phase of Ethereum’s ecosystem.
