Marketnode, a Financial Market Infrastructure firm, receives strategic investment from Euroclear

Euroclear, a securities settlement company from Belgium, has expanded into Asia by purchasing a significant share in Marketnode, a Singaporean firm focused on blockchain technology for financial market infrastructure.  Their goal is to help create a market infrastructure in the Asia Pacific region that leverages new technology to streamline fund management and shorten settlement times.

Although the European clearing house did not reveal the amount of its investment, it confirmed joining Marketnode’s key shareholders, which include SGX Group, Temasek, and HSBC. In May 2024, Marketnode completed its series A financing round, with HSBC leading the effort.


Pradyumna Agrawal, Temasek’s managing director of investment, mentioned that Euroclear’s collaboration could offer Marketnode valuable expertise and access to a wider network, strengthening Singapore’s status as a premier financial hub for funds.
