Maestro has completed a $3 million seed funding round, backed by a group of investors focused on blockchain and digital finance. Wave Digital Assets and Draper Associates led the round, with additional participation from UTXO Management, Bitcoin Frontier Fund, Draper Dragon, and Necto Labs. The funding is expected to support the company’s ongoing development of enterprise-grade infrastructure for Bitcoin-based decentralized finance (DeFi).
The company provides tools designed to integrate businesses and financial institutions into the Bitcoin DeFi ecosystem. Its infrastructure includes APIs and UTXO-based developer services, offering real-time blockchain insights through mempool metaprotocol indexing. Maestro’s technology aims to simplify the development of financial applications on Bitcoin, addressing challenges related to scalability and interoperability. Recent collaborations include a partnership with Arch Network to enhance Bitcoin contract programmability and an integration with Saturn, which is working on an automated market maker (AMM) decentralized exchange on Bitcoin’s base layer.
The latest investment comes as interest in Bitcoin-native financial applications continues to grow. With institutional and venture backing, Maestro is working to expand its platform’s capabilities, positioning itself as a key infrastructure provider in the Bitcoin DeFi space.
