Kulipa, a Crypto Payment Startup based in Paris, has disclosed a seed funding round amounting to $3 million, jointly led by Fabric Ventures and White Star Capital. Established in 2023, Kulipa's mission is to offer a platform that enables non-custodial wallets to issue crypto payment cards.

Kulipa has the capability to settle transactions involving stablecoins on multiple blockchains, which include Ethereum, several Ethereum layer 2s, and Solana.
Sep Alavi, a general partner at White Star, stated that despite the exponential growth in stablecoin adoption in recent years, its most inherent application, payments, has yet to gain widespread acceptance. Kulipa is among the five blockchain startups that were selected for Mastercard's most recent Start Path incubator program.
