Holyheld, a Zug-based crypto payments startup, has secured funding to advance its Blockchain Reconciliation and Remittance Record (BRRR) protocol. This funding round included contributions from Toyota Ventures, TempleDAO, Tomahawk VC, Prismatic Capital, Zee Prime Capital, Polygon, Kosmos Ventures, and Moonlanding Ventures. The company also attracted angel investors associated with blockchain projects like Lido, Olympus, and Superfluid.
The BRRR protocol is designed to link blockchain networks with traditional payment systems, enabling real-time transaction capabilities. Holyheld’s application, powered by BRRR, provides a debit card service that integrates with self-custody wallets, allowing users in 30 European countries to transact with cryptocurrencies for everyday purchases. The protocol has processed over $100 million in volume since its 2023 launch and is integrated with more than 100 crypto protocols across 15 blockchain networks.
Proceeds from this funding will support the expansion of Holyheld’s network and client base worldwide.
