The capital raised will be channeled towards the app's development and its launch on iOS and Android platforms. It will also be used to activate the "contribution node" feature, reinforcing hello.app's position as the first-ever app to pay users for their mobile devices' unused storage space.

This funding is in addition to a previous investment round of €170k, which included investors like Iese, Esade, Castiventures, and Bcombinator, and a €130,000 loan from the National Innovation Company (Enisa).

About hello.app

hello.app, a Decentralized File Storage, established by entrepreneur Álvaro Pintado Santaularia at the age of 19, commenced its operations in 2022. It has already amassed close to 200k users spanning over 200 nations, with an ambitious goal of expanding its user base to 3 million by 2025.

The unique selling proposition of hello.app lies in its approach to tackle the constraints of conventional Web2 storage solutions. It positions itself as a Web3 contender to renowned centralized cloud behemoths such as Dropbox or Google. The platform empowers its users to generate additional income by "leasing" the storage space of their devices.
