Fortytwo has launched its devnet on the Monad testnet, inviting node operators and AI developers to contribute to a decentralized framework for machine reasoning. The network is designed to operate without centralized validation, allowing participants to integrate AI models and contribute to its expansion. The launch introduces new opportunities for distributed AI development, with a focus on scalability and on-chain performance tracking.
The devnet leverages Monad as its blockchain settlement layer, ensuring transparency in node contributions and reward distribution. Fortytwo’s model diverges from traditional AI infrastructures by distributing tasks across multiple nodes running on consumer-grade hardware. The system enables models to interact in a collaborative network, where performance is continuously assessed on-chain to prevent manipulation and maintain reliability. Participants can run a node or contribute by sharing network insights, monitoring activity, and engaging with the project’s community.
The initiative, titled “Hitchhiking to AGI,” provides incentives for early adopters. Approved node operators receive a token allocation and have a set timeframe to deploy their nodes. Additional contributions, such as tracking network activity and reporting performance data, also qualify for rewards. Fortytwo aims to establish a decentralized AI infrastructure where models evolve collectively, moving beyond centralized training approaches.
About Fortytwo
Fortytwo is a decentralized AI network that distributes machine reasoning across multiple small-scale models, eliminating reliance on centralized infrastructure. The system records node performance on the Monad blockchain to ensure security and transparency. Developers can access AI capabilities via API or smart contracts, while contributors are rewarded based on participation.
