Flowdesk, a digital asset trading and technology firm, has secured $102 million in funding, combining equity investment from HV Capital and existing backers, including Eurazeo, Cathay Innovation, and ISAI, with debt financing from funds managed by BlackRock. The firm plans to leverage this capital to strengthen its global operations, enhance its liquidity services, and develop its over-the-counter (OTC) trading capabilities.
Since launching in 2020, Flowdesk has built a presence in the cryptocurrency market as a liquidity provider, operating across more than 140 centralized and decentralized exchanges. The company's revenue grew eightfold in 2024 following an expansion push the previous year. With fresh funding, Flowdesk aims to scale its OTC derivatives business, establish a crypto credit desk, and further develop its proprietary trading technology.
The company also intends to increase its workforce and reinforce compliance measures to align with evolving regulatory frameworks, including the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulations. Additionally, Flowdesk is evaluating potential new office locations, with the United Arab Emirates under consideration as a regional base in the Middle East.
