Dfns, a provider of crypto wallet infrastructure, has raised $16 million in a Series A funding round led by Further, the venture arm of ADQ, Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth fund. The round also saw participation from Motive Partners, Wintermute, Motier Ventures, White Star Capital, Bpifrance, Hashed, Semantic VC, and Techstars. The new investment is aimed at further developing the company’s wallet solutions for financial institutions and fintech firms.
The company, which has been in operation for several years, supports over 130 clients and powers more than 10 million wallets globally. Dfns processes approximately $1 billion in transactions each month, providing secure infrastructure for a variety of applications, including payments, custody, and tokenization. This latest funding will be used to enhance the platform's security, efficiency, and integration capabilities.
Dfns intends to focus on key improvements in areas such as transaction handling, user experience, and direct ecosystem integrations. The company is also preparing to introduce a new Data Integrity Framework by Q2 2025, which will feature advanced security features designed for zero-trust environments and high-security applications.
