Corn, a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform, has raised $8.3 million through a community-focused funding round, referred to as "ICO 2.0." The raise, conducted on Legion’s platform, attracted 675 new investors from 102 countries. This round aimed to expand Bitcoin's liquidity and presence within the DeFi sector, with a focus on building a robust network of early-stage investors.

The "ICO 2.0" funding initiative utilized social and on-chain activity verification to ensure alignment with participants from projects such as Babylon Labs, Arbitrum, and Kaito AI. This strategy led to significant interest, with the raise being oversubscribed by 7x, totaling $69 million in requested allocations. Corn is specifically focused on Bitcoin Finance (BTCFi) and aims to enhance Bitcoin’s role in decentralized finance.

Financial details for this raise highlight the growing investor confidence in the DeFi space. Corn plans to use this funding to expand its network and further develop its platform, continuing its emphasis on Bitcoin's integration into decentralized finance.
