ClustroAI has completed a $12 million Series A funding round, with Forum Ventures leading the investment. Additional backing came from MetaBlast, Metaverse Group, and other investors. The company’s total funding now stands at $15 million, which includes its earlier seed round supported by NVIDIA. ClustroAI plans to use the capital to enhance its platform, which enables artificial intelligence to run on local and edge devices without relying on cloud infrastructure.
The company’s technology is designed to process AI workloads directly on hardware such as smartphones, industrial equipment, and autonomous systems. By eliminating cloud-based data transfers, ClustroAI aims to improve efficiency across various AI applications, including large language models (LLMs), speech translation, real-time data processing, and AI-generated content (AIGC). The platform also incorporates containerized architecture, optimizing GPU resource allocation for training and inference while maintaining data privacy.
With this funding, ClustroAI intends to expand its compatibility beyond GPUs to FPGA, TPU, and NPU chipsets, further integrating AI capabilities across industries. The company is also developing a distributed AI computed network to link computing power across multiple devices. NVIDIA, an early investor, continues to support the shift from centralized AI processing to edge-based computing solutions.
