Cambria has successfully secured $2.5 million in a Seed funding round. The round was spearheaded by BITKRAFT, and saw contributions from 1kx, Piers Kicks, Ben Roy, Bharat Krymo, Alex Brunicki, hype.eth, Soban Saqib, Nathan, Pim de Witte, jawz, Tom Shaughnessy, among others.

This funding will be used to develop a Runescape-inspired Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) game; a risk-to-earn game with massive stakes on the blockchain.
The team at Cambria discovered their audience through their first minigame, Cambria: Duel Arena, also known as @playdegenarena. This game has seen an impressive $88 million USD staked in just about three months, with over 700,000 battles taking place on @Blast_L2. All these stakes were fully escrowed on the blockchain, demonstrating the potential of blockchain technology in the gaming industry.
Building on this success, Cambria has assembled a formidable team of crypto-native developers, artists, and game designers. Their mission is to create an unapologetically hardcore, hyper-financialized, and competitive MMO game with real stakes. The first iteration of this vision, GOLD RUSH, is currently being playtested.
