Kebrab, a former Visa employee, highlighted the critical need for faster transaction solutions in regions like Latin America, where delays can have significant financial impacts. The new round is led by Initialized, with participation from Abstract Ventures, Class 5 Global, Digital Currency Group, Kraynos Capital, New Form Capital and Quona, as well as fintech executives as angel investors.


Caliza plans to expand into Mexico this fall, adjusting their timeline to address regulatory and compliance challenges. The startup, currently with a team of 10 in Brazil, aims to double its workforce with the new funds, strengthening its local presence.
