As the listing of spot ether ETFs is being prepared, a number of companies have been updating their S-1 registrations with the SEC. This week, Bitwise revealed an interest in seed investment for its fund amounting to $2.5 million and named Pantera as one of the interested entities.
Pantera Capital, a U.S. hedge fund and venture capital firm that specializes in digital assets and is led by CEO Dan Morehead, has expressed interest in buying shares worth $100 million. However, Bitwise has warned that this interest does not constitute a binding agreement and potential investors may ultimately choose not to buy any shares.
The Bitwise S-1 filing clarifies that since indications of interest are not binding commitments to purchase, these potential buyers could decide to buy more, fewer, or no shares. Currently, Bitwise's BITB spot bitcoin ETF is ranked fifth in terms of bitcoin assets under management (AUM).
