Across

Across has raised $41 million in a token sale led by Paradigm, with additional backing from Bain Capital Crypto, Coinbase Ventures, Multicoin Capital, and angel investor Sina Habinian. The funding supports the protocol’s work in improving interoperability across Ethereum Layer-2 networks, addressing liquidity fragmentation, and simplifying crosschain transactions.

The project focuses on reducing complexity in crosschain interactions through intent-based execution, allowing users to specify transaction goals while the protocol handles operations in the background. A major development in this effort is ERC-7683, a crosschain standard co-authored with Uniswap Labs, which enables decentralized applications to process multi-step transactions as a single request. The standard has gained adoption among Layer-2 networks, including Arbitrum, Base, and Optimism. Across has also expanded its integrations, recently launching as a bridge on Uniswap’s Unichain and working with platforms such as Kraken’s Ink, Sony’s Soneium, and Hyperliquid.

The latest funding will be used to refine the protocol’s bridging infrastructure, improve transaction speeds, and expand integrations across the Ethereum ecosystem. With more than 40 decentralized applications utilizing Across and a total bridging volume surpassing $17 billion, the protocol continues to develop solutions aimed at optimizing Ethereum’s Layer-2 network interactions.

About Across
