Accountable, a startup developing a privacy-focused data platform for undercollateralized crypto credit, has announced a $2.3 million seed funding round. MitonC and Zee Prime Capital co-led the round, with participation from angel investors Darius Rugys of Maven 11 and DCBuilder of the Worldcoin Foundation. The funds will support the company’s efforts to enhance crypto lending by providing borrowers with tools to verify and share their financial data securely.
The platform enables borrowers to connect their custodial, exchange, and other accounts to generate credit risk reports, which can be shared at their discretion. It leverages technologies such as Zero-Knowledge Transport Layer Security (ZK-TLS) and fully homomorphic encryption to ensure data privacy and security. Accountable’s mission is to rebuild trust in the crypto credit ecosystem, following the collapse of several centralized lenders in 2022. The company’s current iteration, developed over 16 months, is supported by Maven11 and currently employs eight team members.
Accountable’s solutions extend beyond lending. The platform can be used for real-time proof-of-reserve reports by exchanges and stablecoin issuers, allowing them to demonstrate solvency without revealing sensitive details. With plans to raise additional funding in Q2 2025, Accountable is positioning itself as a key player in the crypto data and lending space.
